Job Description

Mechanical Engineer/Designer A prominent engineering firm located near downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join their team. This is a successful 90-year-old firm providing innovative mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection services. Primarily serving the K-12 and higher education, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, and recreation sectors, we work on over one hundred projects each year, ranging from building evaluations and office fitups, to multi-million-dollar facilities. We encourage all interested individuals to apply, whether you are entry-level or an experienced designer. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in mechanical engineering and experience with HVAC, plumbing, and/or fire protection design.   • Design MEP systems for a variety of projects.
  • Communicating with clients.
  • Traveling to job sites.
  • Collaborating with project team members.
Desired Skills and abilities:
  • B.S in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Preparation of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Field surveying.
  • Performing calculations.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Coordinating work with architects, owners, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Working in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
